How we put this guide together
We haven't bought or used anything from Tuesday in Love, so this isn't a hands-on review. Everything below comes from the brand's own site (tuesdayinlove.com): its FAQs, About and certification page, How it Works page, refund, shipping and terms pages, and the product data for all 96 items it lists. We also ran a US Google search for the brand. All of it was checked on September 29, 2026. There is no Tuesday in Love discount code on this page because we don't have one to offer.
What Tuesday in Love sells
Tuesday in Love is a Canadian company. Its main product is UV gel nail polish: polish that stays soft until you cure it under a UV/LED lamp, then sets hard and glossy. Around it, the store sells:
- Gel polish colours: 62 shades listed, 56 in stock when we checked, including nudes, pinks, reds, cat eye, sheer and metallic shades
- Base coat and top coats (clear and matte)
- Gift sets: three shades plus a nail file and a French-manicure nail stamp, in a gold-and-white box
- UV/LED lamps: a small USB lamp (54W, 18 LEDs) and a cordless, rechargeable Sun X15 MAX (280W, 66 LEDs)
- Tools: a 5-in-1 cat-eye magnet (for cat-eye shades only), gel remover, cuticle pushers, a nail file, UV-protection gloves and chrome powder
You need a UV or LED lamp to use the polish. If you don't own one, budget for it.
What "halal" and "breathable" mean here
The brand says its gel polish is halal certified by the Halal Certification Services of Canada (HCSC), "for ingredients and for the purposes of wudhu", and that Direx Labs tests every batch for breathability using WVTR (water vapour transmission) analysers. It lists both organisations' email addresses and invites buyers to contact them directly.
Two details are worth knowing before you buy:
- "Breathable", not "water permeable". The brand's FAQ says its older polish was tested with drops of water, but its current gel formula is tested with water vapour and pressurised gases, so "legally we are required to use the term breathable". It also says you can't check the gel at home with the paper-towel water test.
- Up to four coats. According to the FAQ, the certification holds for up to four coats in total, counting base coat, colour and top coat.
Some of the brand's own pages and ads name a different certifier (ISNA Canada) than the About page (HCSC). If the certifier matters to you, email the brand or the certifier before you order.
The brand also says the formula is TPO-free, has no formaldehyde, toluene or DBP, and is not tested on animals.
What it costs
Prices on the product pages on Sep 29, 2026:
| Item | US price (USD) | Canada price (CAD) |
|---|---|---|
| One gel polish shade | $21 | CA$29 |
| Gift set (3 shades + file + French stamp) | $63 | CA$87 |
| Compact LED/UV lamp (USB) | $22 | CA$30 |
| Sun X15 MAX lamp (cordless) | $44 | — |
| 5-in-1 cat-eye magnet | $11 | CA$14 |
| Nail gel remover (0.5 fl oz) | $9 | CA$12 |
Some items are not sold to US addresses, including the Cuticle Care Gift Set, cuticle oil and cream, and the brand's skincare. They show as unavailable when the store is set to the United States.
Shipping to the US vs Canada
This is the biggest difference between the two countries:
| United States | Canada | |
|---|---|---|
| Shipping cost | CA$25 (about US$18), flat, on every order | CA$11.17, flat |
| Free shipping | Not offered | On orders of CA$100+ after discounts |
| Delivery time | About 12–15 business days, plus 2–3 days to process | About 5–7 business days, plus 2–3 days to process |
| Carrier | USPS, with tracking | Canada Post or Fleet Optics, with tracking |
| Duties | The brand says US shipping includes tariff fees but it can't guarantee there won't be more, and it won't refund them | None, according to the brand |
For a US order, one bottle plus shipping comes to about $39. The shipping charge is the same whether you buy one bottle or a gift set, so a single order with everything you want makes more sense than several small ones.
Returns are strict
- Opened products can't be returned, including for colour mismatch. The brand says screen colours are "for guidance only".
- Unopened products: you must email the brand within 24 hours of delivery, ship the item back unopened at your own cost with tracking, and a 25% restocking fee comes off the refund.
- Damaged or defective items: email info@tuesdayinlove.com with a photo (or video) to set up an exchange.
- Requests more than 30 days after delivery aren't accepted.
- Bought from another retailer (for example on Amazon)? Returns go through that retailer.
We saw a Tuesday in Love search ad that says "30-Day Returns". That doesn't match the written policy above. Go by the policy page.
Tips from the brand's FAQ
- Cure the base coat about 30 seconds and colour coats 40–60 seconds (lighter colours less, darker colours more).
- Thin coats last longer. Thick coats under-cure and peel.
- A sticky layer after curing is normal. Wipe it off with rubbing alcohol.
- To remove, buff the top coat, then soak with acetone and foil for 10–15 minutes, or use the brand's gel remover.
- With good prep, the brand says a manicure lasts 2–3 weeks.
What buyers say
- The brand's own site shows 4.9 out of 5 from 413 reviews. These are collected on its own store, so treat them as a friendly sample.
- Reddit (r/Hijabis, r/SistersInSunnah) has threads where people recommend the brand, and one older comment says the brand's previous formula peeled easily.
- Trustpilot: we couldn't load the page when we checked, so we can't report a score.
- The brand also sells through an Amazon storefront and a few other online shops.
Who it suits
Tuesday in Love suits you if you want a halal-certified gel manicure that lasts a couple of weeks, you already own a UV/LED lamp (or don't mind buying one), and you live in Canada or can wait about three weeks for a US delivery. It's a weaker fit if you need your order quickly in the US, if you want to try colours with an easy return, or if you want a regular air-dry polish rather than gel.
