Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

AvaCoup (avacoup.com) is an independent coupon and product review site. This page explains exactly what information is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: privacy@avacoup.com.

The short version

• You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details.
• Google Analytics runs only if you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner.
• We don't sell your personal information, and we don't show targeted ads.
• When you click through to a store, that store and its affiliate network may track the visit so we can be paid a commission.

What is collected, and by whom

Analytics — only with your consent

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and deals are useful. It records things like the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country or city). It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. Google receives your IP address to provide the service; Google Analytics 4 does not store it. If you reject analytics, none of this is loaded.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Rejecting after accepting turns analytics off and deletes the _ga cookies.

Your cookie choice

Your accept/reject choice is saved in your own browser (local storage, key avacoup-cookie-consent) so the banner doesn't ask again. It is never sent to us.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it processes your IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse.

Fonts

The site's typefaces are stored on and served from avacoup.com itself (through Vercel). Loading them doesn't connect your browser to Google or any other font service.

Site content database

Coupons, reviews and categories are stored with Supabase. This database holds our content only — it does not contain information about visitors.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name in it and your message. Our mailboxes are hosted by Zoho Mail, and copies are forwarded to a Gmail inbox (Google) that we use to read and reply. We use your message only to answer it and to keep a record of requests, and we don't add you to any mailing list.

Affiliate links

When you click “Get code” or another store link, you leave AvaCoup and go to the merchant's site. The merchant and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to record that you came from us, so a commission can be paid if you buy. Their privacy policies apply there. We generally receive only sales and commission reports, not your name or contact details.

Why we use this information (EU and UK visitors)

• Analytics: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings.
• Hosting logs: our legitimate interest in delivering a working, secure site.
• Emails you send us: our legitimate interest in replying to you, or handling a request you make.

Your rights

EU, UK and similar laws: you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data about you, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California and other US states: you can ask what personal information is collected about you and ask for it to be deleted. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To make a request, email privacy@avacoup.com. Because we don't run accounts, most information is held by Google or Vercel rather than by us; we'll tell you what we can do and point you to their tools where needed.

International transfers

Vercel, Google, Supabase and Zoho may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards for international transfers.

Children

AvaCoup is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
