The short answer

Romalar Jewelry makes gothic, moss agate and moissanite engagement rings and bridal sets to order, mostly around $300–$600 in sterling silver (median about $375 on Sep 30, 2026), with a 20% code that worked in our cart test. Gold colors on silver rings are thin plating that can wear off, orders take about 2–3 weeks, and a change-of-mind return refunds only 30% in cash. Trustpilot shows 4.0 from 27 reviews, with "doesn't look like the photo" as the most common complaint.

How we put this guide together

We haven't bought a ring from Romalar Jewelry, so this isn't a hands-on review and we don't give it a star rating. Everything below comes from Romalar's own site (romalarjewelry.com): its homepage, FAQ, "Our Story" and custom-ring pages, its refund, shipping and terms policies, seven product pages and the store's public list of 250 best sellers. We also read Romalar's Trustpilot page, two Reddit threads about the brand, Google's Ads Transparency Center and the domain registry. All of it was checked on September 30, 2026.

What Romalar sells

Romalar sells engagement rings, bridal sets (an engagement ring with a matching band), and women's and men's wedding bands. Its look is what sets it apart from a mall jeweler:

  • Dark romance / gothic rings: coffin-cut and heart-cut stones, black rutilated quartz, carved crown-and-spike details. Several are sold as limited Halloween designs.
  • Nature-inspired rings: moss agate (a green stone with moss-like patterns), vine and leaf bands.
  • Classic shapes in color: oval, pear, emerald and princess cuts in moissanite, alexandrite, emerald, ruby, sapphire, opal, amethyst and more.

The FAQ lists 18 gemstones, including moissanite and lab-grown diamond. Among the 250 best sellers on Sep 30, 2026, the largest groups were moissanite (50 rings), moss agate (34) and alexandrite (25). Every ring is made to order, and the store offers a full custom-design service (consultation, a 3D model, then handmade production).

What it costs

Prices on the site are for 925 sterling silver. Across the 250 best sellers on Sep 30, 2026, the starting price of each ring ranged from $87.76 to $1,484.47, with a median of about $375. Half of them started between about $314 and $537.

Some examples from the day we checked (sterling silver):

RingPrice
Vintage 4-Prong Round Cut Moss Agate Engagement Ring$289.86
Dark Romantic Heart-Shaped Floral Vine Engagement Ring$264.30–$763.77 (depends on the stone)
Unique Pear Cut Moss Agate Bridal Ring Set$515.36
Minimalist Vintage Coffin-Cut Moissanite Bridal Ring Set$568.76
Dark Romantic Coffin Cut Crown Spike Bridal Ring Set$629.99
Dark Romantic Heart Cut Crown & Spike Bridal Ring Set$699.99

Upgrading the metal adds a lot. On the moss agate bridal set, for example, 10K gold added $476, 14K gold $833, and 18K gold or platinum $1,071. Ring sizes above 9 add $20–$50. Engraving was free as a limited-time offer.

The 20% code

The AvaCoup code worked in the cart on Sep 30, 2026: 20% off the whole cart. The $289.86 moss agate ring came to $231.89. We didn't see a minimum order or an expiry date.

"Yellow gold" and "rose gold" on a silver ring are plating

This is the most important detail on the product page. On a sterling silver ring, choosing "Yellow-Gold" or "Rose-Gold" means the silver is gold-plated. Romalar's own FAQ says the plating is very thin (about 0.03 micron), has a protective coating, and can wear off over time, especially with daily wear, housework, sweat and cosmetics. The FAQ itself recommends solid gold if you want a gold color that lasts, or rhodium-plated silver if you want a white finish.

For a ring you'll wear every day, that matters: the silver price is attractive, but a gold-colored silver ring will likely need re-plating at some point. Romalar's lifetime care service covers re-plating, but you pay to ship the ring to them.

Timing: order early

Romalar rings are made from scratch after you order:

  • Normal orders: about 11–15 business days to arrive, with free shipping on orders over $200 (so almost every ring).
  • Rush orders: about 6–10 business days, for $150 extra.
  • Custom designs: the shipping policy gives 10–20 business days of production plus 5–7 days of shipping.

US orders ship by USPS, from a fulfillment facility in Guangdong, China (Romalar's own reply on Trustpilot). If you need the ring for a proposal date or a holiday, order at least three to four weeks ahead. One Trustpilot reviewer paid for rush shipping and still waited longer than quoted.

Returns, cancellations and warranty — read before you order

Romalar's homepage banner says "30 Day Return or Exchange," and product pages mention a "Full Refund Guarantee." The written refund policy is stricter:

  • Change of mind (within 30 days of delivery): you get back 30% of the order in cash, or 50% as store credit. You pay the return shipping, and the ring must be unworn and pass inspection.
  • Manufacturing faults (a stone falling out in normal wear, a structural defect, or a ring that doesn't match your confirmed order): full refund, remake or free repair, at Romalar's choice, if confirmed within 30 days. Romalar pays reasonable shipping (up to $150).
  • Wrong size you chose, or "it doesn't look how I expected": not covered by the full refund.
  • Cancelling: free within 8 hours of ordering (6 hours for rush orders). After that, Romalar keeps 35% of the order, then 60% after 3 days. Rush orders can't be cancelled after 6 hours.
  • Lifetime care: re-setting stones, re-plating and polishing for life. You pay to send the ring in; Romalar pays to send it back. If the center stone falls out, Romalar reimburses a local jeweler's repair up to $50 once; if the stone is lost, a replacement costs 30% of your order.

Romalar's FAQ is stricter still: it says returns "may not be accepted" without a verified quality issue, and asks you to report damaged or wrong items within 10 days. Treat the purchase as final unless the ring is faulty, and measure your ring size carefully (the site offers US sizes 3–12).

Is Romalar Jewelry legit? What we could and couldn't verify

What checks out:

  • A real, active business. Romalar advertises on Google under HK Silver City Jewelry Co., Limited, an advertiser Google lists as verified. The Trustpilot profile is claimed by the company and lists a Hong Kong phone number and support@romalarjewelry.com.
  • Independent reviews are mostly positive. Trustpilot showed 4.0 out of 5 from 27 reviews (67% five-star, 15% one-star) on Sep 30, 2026. Happy buyers mention the design, the packaging and a correct fit; one customer described Romalar remaking a ring after a stone-size error in the product description.
  • Real buyers on Reddit. A buyer on r/EngagementRings posted their Romalar engagement ring and said they were happy with it, though they wished the band were a little thicker and found the ring light. In an r/jewelry thread asking whether Romalar is legit, replies ranged from suspicious to "seems like a real company."

What to be careful about:

  • "It doesn't look like the photo." This is the most common complaint on Trustpilot: color, clarity and stone color that differed from the pictures (one reviewer's blue topaz arrived almost white). Combined with the 30% change-of-mind refund, that's a real risk.
  • Communication. Reviewers mention support by email only and no progress updates while the ring is being made.
  • Ratings on Romalar's own site are much higher (4.89 stars from 1,376 reviews on the homepage) than on Trustpilot.
  • A young website. romalarjewelry.com was registered in December 2024. The "Our Story" page describes a founder who left a jewelry sales job, but doesn't name the founder or the company.
  • Materials wording. Product specs call moissanite "natural lab grown," which is contradictory; moissanite sold for jewelry is lab-made.

None of this means you'll get a bad ring. It means you're buying from a young, overseas, made-to-order brand with a strict return policy. Pay with a credit card or PayPal for buyer protection, and keep photos of your ring when it arrives.
