How we put this guide together
We looked at Medical Gear Outfitters' online store on October 22, 2026: its best-seller list, the six product pages below, prices in US dollars, stock status, and the shipping, refund and terms pages. Nobody on our team has ordered from the store yet, so this is a buyer's guide, not a hands-on review, and there is no star rating from us.
One important note before anything else: tourniquets, chest seals, airways and hemostatic gauze are emergency medical tools. Owning them is only half the job. Take a hands-on bleeding-control or first aid class, follow your instructor and the product instructions, and call 911 in an emergency. Nothing here is medical advice.
What Medical Gear Outfitters sells
Medical Gear Outfitters is an online shop based in Greenville, South Carolina. Its site says it is owned and operated by a paramedic, and it sells first aid and trauma supplies for both medical and non-medical buyers: tourniquets and holders, pressure bandages, hemostatic gauze, airway items, wound care, and ready-made small, large, IFAK and trauma kits. The owner also sells kits under his own Skinny Medic name. Most items come from established makers such as North American Rescue, PerSys Medical and Dynarex.
The six products below are the top items on the store's best-seller list on October 22, 2026. All six were in stock that day, and none showed a sale price.
The 6 products
1. Gen 7 CAT Combat Application Tourniquet (North American Rescue)
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
The C-A-T Gen 7 is a windlass tourniquet designed to be applied with one hand to an arm or leg. It comes in Black, Orange and a Blue Trainer version for practice. Price on October 22, 2026: $34.99 for any color. The product page says the store only sells authentic North American Rescue tourniquets, which matters because copycat tourniquets exist. It suits anyone building an IFAK or a car kit. Drawback: a tourniquet only helps if you practice with it; buy the Blue Trainer or practice with a spare so you do not wear out the one you carry.
2. Compact HyFin Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack (North American Rescue)
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
Two vented chest seals in a flat, compact pouch, each 4.75 by 4.75 inches, made for open chest wounds. Each seal has three vent channels that let air out but not back in. Price on October 22, 2026: $13.99 for the twin pack. It suits people with a trauma kit or IFAK who want a low-profile pack that does not need folding. Drawback: chest seals are for serious injuries and are best used by someone who has been trained to recognize when they are needed.
3. 6" Israeli Bandage Dressing FCP-02 (PerSys Medical)
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
The classic Emergency Bandage: a 6-inch non-stick pad with a built-in pressure bar and a closure bar, so you do not need pins, clips or tape. It is vacuum sealed and waterproof. Price on October 22, 2026: $13.99. It suits nearly any kit, from a glovebox to a range bag, because it handles many kinds of bleeding wounds. Drawback: the vacuum pack is bulkier than a plain roll of gauze, and the 6-inch size can be large for small cuts.
4. Boo Boo Kit Mini First Aid Kit (Medical Gear Outfitters)
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
The store's own small kit for everyday cuts, scrapes, stings and headaches. According to the product page it includes single doses of common over-the-counter pain and allergy tablets, hydrocortisone and antibiotic ointments, iodine and alcohol pads, burn cream and sting pads. Price on October 22, 2026: $9.99. It suits a backpack, desk drawer or car. Drawback: it is for minor problems only, not bleeding emergencies, and it contains medicines, so keep it away from children and check expiry dates. Like all the store's kits, it is assembled to order.
5. Dynarex Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA) with Lubricant
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
A soft, latex-free nasal airway with a packet of sterile lubricant, sold in sizes 20F to 36F. The product page notes that 28F matches most military-style IFAKs. Price on October 22, 2026: $5.49 for any size. It suits trained EMTs, medics and people completing an IFAK. Drawback: an airway adjunct is a tool for trained users; if you have not been taught how to size and insert one, a bleeding-control class is a better first step.
6. QuikClot Combat Gauze
Photo: Medical Gear Outfitters
A 3-inch by 4-yard strip of z-folded gauze infused with kaolin, a mineral that helps blood clot, for packing wounds where a tourniquet cannot go. The product page lists a five-year shelf life and an X-ray detectable strip. Price on October 22, 2026: $50.00. It suits people who already carry a tourniquet and want the next layer of bleeding control. Drawback: it is the most expensive item here, and wound packing is a skill that needs hands-on training.

What buyers say
We were not able to check independent review sites for this store when we wrote this guide, and the product pages we looked at did not show customer star ratings. If reviews matter to you, look for recent feedback before ordering, especially about how long kits take to ship.
How it compares
- Big online marketplaces: often faster delivery, but many sellers list similar-looking tourniquets and bandages, so it is harder to be sure what you are getting.
- Other tactical medical shops: similar products from the same makers; compare prices and shipping times.
- Medical Gear Outfitters: a paramedic-run shop with single items and full kits in one place, and a clear statement that its CAT tourniquets are authentic. Better if you care about where your gear comes from.
Shipping & returns
The store ships only inside the United States, mostly by USPS Priority Mail or First Class, and larger orders may go by UPS Ground. All kits are made to order and usually take 7 to 10 business days to ship when the parts are in stock. The store says it is not responsible for packages stolen after delivery.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for items that are unused, in the same condition and in the original packaging, with a receipt or proof of purchase. You pay return shipping, sale items cannot be refunded, and some health and personal care items cannot be returned. Exchanges are only for defective or damaged items.
Who it suits / who should skip
Good fit: people building or restocking an IFAK, car kit or range bag; EMTs and medics who need single refills like an NPA; anyone who wants authentic North American Rescue tourniquets; gift buyers who order early.
Skip it if: you live outside the US, you need a kit within a few days, or you only need basic adhesive bandages from a local store.
