The short answer

Worth a small box if you enjoy the unboxing gamble or want a small lot to resell, as long as you can wait weeks for it to ship. If you need a specific item, or need it by a certain date, buy it elsewhere.

How we put this guide together

This isn't a hands-on review yet. Everything below comes from Fire Sale Boxes' own product listings and store policies as we read them on September 11, 2026, plus a checkout test of the coupon code. On September 15, 2026 we added a summary of what buyers say about the store on its own site and at the Better Business Bureau. Once we've documented a box of our own, we'll add what we found and a rating.

What Fire Sale Boxes sells

Fire Sale Boxes is an online liquidation store based in Richfield, Ohio. Most of what it sells is mystery boxes: random assortments of overstock and returned merchandise from big retailers, unclaimed and returned mail packages, and themed boxes for clothing, shoes, electronics and holidays. Resellers can also buy whole pallets. Alongside the boxes, the store sells discounted gaming and pop-culture merchandise (Nintendo, Pokémon, PlayStation, Fallout and similar), typically listed about a third below the crossed-out price.

What it costs

Prices as listed on September 11, 2026, smallest to largest size:

Box typePrice range
General mix (Amazon, Target, Walmart returns)$30 small – $500 "Monster"
Unclaimed mail$54.99 small – $214.99 XL
Returned mail$35 small – $150 XL
Clothing$30 – $200
Shoes$100 – $400
Electronics$200 small – $800 large
Occasion boxes (Christmas, birthday and more)$75 – $1,000
Reseller pallets$900 – $1,800

What the listings promise

The small $30 general-mix box lists "a combined MSRP of $40+" and 4 to 8 items, and warns that "some may arrive in various conditions."

The small $200 electronics box lists an MSRP value of $300+ and 5 to 10 items. The listing says these are "lower end products such as chargers, cases, accessories" and that "most products are untested returns."

The small unclaimed-mail box promises about 6 to 8 packages "shipped exactly as received."

Four things to know before you buy

  1. The value figures are the seller's MSRP estimates, not what the items are worth to you or what they would resell for. Liquidation goods often sell well below MSRP.
  2. Many items are customer returns. The store itself says some arrive "in various conditions" and that its electronics are mostly untested.
  3. Check the return rules on the product page before you pay. The store's policy offers returns within 14 days in general, but says not every product is eligible and that it "cannot accept returns on sale items." Treat a mystery box as final sale unless its page says otherwise. Under the same policy, orders shipped to the EU have a 14-day right to cancel.
  4. When we checked, a banner on the site said orders were delayed because of high demand. Another banner offered free shipping on Fire Sale brand boxes.

What buyers say

We read what customers wrote about Fire Sale Boxes on September 15, 2026. These are other shoppers' experiences, not our own.

The store also says it has more than 700 five-star Google reviews. We couldn't check that figure ourselves, so it isn't in the table.

What buyers like. Most of the recent reviews on the store's own site give five stars. People enjoyed opening the boxes, and several were happy with the clothing-heavy returned-mail and unclaimed-mail boxes. One three-star review said an Amazon returns box arrived only about a quarter full.

What buyers complain about. The BBB reviews, written between late July and early September 2026, are mostly negative, and the same problems keep coming up:

  • orders placed in June or July that still hadn't shipped weeks later
  • replies that felt automated, or no reply at all
  • orders that arrived incomplete, or boxes less full or less varied than expected

The BBB also lists 12 complaints closed in the past 12 months; 8 of them are about delivery.

What the store's own FAQ says. Fire Sale Boxes doesn't guarantee a delivery date and says delayed orders usually take about four to eight weeks to ship. Returns are accepted within 14 days if the items are unopened, minus a 10% restocking fee. Lost or damaged parcels are only covered if you bought shipping insurance.

What that means for you. Buyers mostly like what's in the boxes; the wait is the problem. Order only if you can wait a month or two, add shipping insurance at checkout, keep your order confirmation, and film the unboxing in case you need to report a problem.

Who it suits

Resellers who want a small lot of inventory without buying a whole pallet, and shoppers who enjoy the unboxing gamble with money they are comfortable not getting back in value. If you need a specific item, buy that item instead.
