How we put this guide together
On October 8, 2026 we read Clohill's product pages, its refund, shipping and lifetime warranty policies, the brand's Trustpilot page and an independent alpaca sock comparison at adventurealan.com. Prices and stock below were checked on that date. We have not worn these socks ourselves.
What Clohill sells
Clohill is a young sock brand (its website domain was registered in September 2024) that sells alpaca-blend socks for hiking, hunting, skiing and everyday wear. Each product lists its fiber mix, from 65% to 80% alpaca with nylon and Lycra for stretch and strength. Most socks are sold in 4- or 8-pair packs, and every pair comes with what the brand calls a lifetime warranty.
The 6 products
Crew Socks 8 Pairs
Photo: Clohill
$99.99 for 8 pairs on October 8, 2026 (about $12.50 a pair), shown against a crossed-out $143.92. In stock. The brand lists 70% alpaca, 25% nylon and 5% Lycra, a mid-calf rise and reinforced heels and toes. It suits people who want one everyday sock for work, home and light hikes. Drawback: to pick your own sizes or colors you have to write them in the cart note, which is easy to forget.
Knee High Socks 8 Pairs
Photo: Clohill
$119.99 for 8 pairs (about $15 a pair, crossed-out price $175.92), in stock on October 8, 2026. The brand lists 75% alpaca and a height just below the knee, aimed at skiing and cold weather. It suits people who want their calves covered under ski or winter boots. Drawback: one Trustpilot reviewer found the longer socks snug on larger calves.
Ankle Socks 8 Pairs
Photo: Clohill
$72.99 for 8 pairs (about $9.12 a pair, crossed-out price $111.92), in stock on October 8, 2026. The lightest option, listed at 65% alpaca, made for running, gym sessions and warm-weather walks. It suits people who want alpaca in low-cut shoes. Drawback: with the lowest alpaca share of the range, it is not the pick for cold days.
Alpaca Compression Socks
Photo: Clohill
$29.99 for one pair, in stock on October 8, 2026. The brand lists 72% alpaca, 15–20 mmHg graduated compression, light cushioning, arch support and a seamless toe, for long days on your feet, travel and recovery. It suits people who stand or sit for hours. Drawback: one Trustpilot reviewer said a pair developed a hole after about two months; the warranty covers one replacement per pair. If you have a medical condition, ask your doctor before using compression socks.
Heavy Duty Alpaca Boot Socks
Photo: Clohill
$44.99, in stock on October 8, 2026 (black and gray). The warmest sock in the range: the brand lists 80% alpaca and a double-layer knit, with extra padding at the heel, ball and toe, for ice fishing, hunting and skiing. It suits people who spend long hours in the cold. Drawback: the brand itself warns that the high alpaca content can shed a little during the first few wears.
Crew Socks 4 Pairs
Photo: Clohill
$54.99 for 4 pairs (about $13.75 a pair, crossed-out price $71.96), in stock on October 8, 2026. The same 70% alpaca crew sock as the 8-pack, with extra cushioning in the sole, rising 5–7 inches above the ankle. It suits first-time buyers who want to test the fit before buying a bigger pack. Drawback: it costs more per pair than the 8-pack.

What buyers say
On Trustpilot, Clohill had a TrustScore of 4.1 out of 5 from 76 reviews on October 8, 2026: 68% five-star and 16% one-star. Happy buyers mention warm feet through Michigan winters, socks that hold up after many washes, and quick help with a size exchange. The unhappy ones point to three things: packages that came from China and took about two weeks to reach California, sizes that ran tight for some people, and socks that slid or bunched at the toe. One reviewer also doubted the stated alpaca percentage. The store also runs its own review page, which we treat as the brand's own claims.
How it compares
- Paka Trail socks: listed at $24 a pair with thin cushioning and 33% alpaca in an April 2026 comparison at adventurealan.com. A good pick for runners who want one premium pair rather than a pack.
- Warrior Alpaca socks: listed in the same comparison at $23 a pair with thick cushioning and 41% alpaca. Suits cold-weather and work boots.
- Clohill: the choice if you want a higher stated alpaca share and a lower price per pair by buying 4- or 8-pair packs, and you can wait for delivery.
Shipping & returns
For US orders, Clohill ships to the continental United States. Orders are processed in 1–2 business days and the store expects delivery within 7–12 business days, using carriers such as FedEx, USPS and YunExpress. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unworn socks with tags in the original packaging; you email the store first and wait for approval. You pay return shipping unless the store made a mistake, and defects need photos or a video. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
The lifetime warranty covers damage from wear, washing or manufacturing, but not deliberate damage. Since June 15, 2025 you send photos or a short video instead of mailing the socks back. Each pair can be replaced once, and you pay the shipping cost of the replacement.
Who it suits / who should skip
It suits hikers, hunters, skiers and anyone on their feet all day who wants warm, dry alpaca socks and likes buying in packs. Skip it if you need socks within a few days, if you are between sizes and dislike returns that cost postage, or if you only want one premium pair.
