How we put this guide together
On October 21, 2026 we read the Clever Toys Box store (clevertoysbox.com): the home page, the six product pages covered below, the refund, shipping, terms and contact pages, and the review counts shown on each product. We checked the US price and stock of each product. We also searched for independent reviews and a Trustpilot profile and found neither. Nobody on our team has used these toys, so this is a buyer's guide, not a hands-on review, and it carries no star rating from us.
A note on claims: the store describes its toys as building fine motor skills, focus and early reading, and its home page suggests Montessori toys help children develop "faster and smarter". We could not check any of that, and we do not repeat it as fact. Montessori is a teaching approach, not a certification, so the label alone tells you little about a toy.
What Clever Toys Box sells
Clever Toys Box is an online toy store whose domain was registered in January 2024. Its contact page lists an address in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and the store sells in US dollars. The catalog is built around Montessori-style toys for babies and young children, sorted by age: 0 to 12 months, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5+ years. On October 21, 2026 the first page of the catalog listed 124 products, all in stock, with a median price of $39.97. Most products show a sale price next to a higher listed regular price.
The 6 products
1. Montessori Stuffed Musical Caterpillar
Photo: Clever Toys Box
A soft plush caterpillar, about 20 inches long, whose segments make different sounds: rattles, squeaks, crinkles and a melody, according to the store. It is listed for babies from 6 months, in multi-texture fabric with non-toxic dyes, and is wiped clean rather than machine washed. Price on October 21, 2026: $38.97 (listed regular price $59.97), in stock, with 111 reviews on the store's own page. Who it suits: babies who like to grab, squeeze and listen. Drawback: the store says it meets the European EN71 toy standard, but we found no certificate or US test report on the page.
2. Montessori Rattle Socks Set
Photo: Clever Toys Box
Two wrist rattles and two foot-finder socks with rattles sewn inside, so a baby's kicks and arm waves make a jingle. Listed for babies from birth, with the store suggesting it works best from around 3 months, once babies kick actively. Price on October 21, 2026: $27.97 (listed regular price $39.97), in stock, with 415 reviews on the store's page, the most of the six. Who it suits: newborn gifts and baby showers. Drawback: babies outgrow socks quickly, and the care note says to avoid soaking them, which is awkward for something worn on the feet.
3. Montessori Baby Soft Book
Photo: Clever Toys Box
A small cloth book, about 7.3 by 5.7 inches, with crinkle pages, flaps and bright animal pictures, in four designs: Dinosaur, Ocean, Jungle and Farm. It weighs about 1.9 oz, so it fits in a diaper bag, and can be hand washed or machine washed on a gentle setting. Price on October 21, 2026: $19.97 (listed regular price $29.97), in stock, with 163 reviews on the store's page. Who it suits: babies who chew and grab everything, and parents who want a cheap travel toy. Drawback: the age is listed as 6 months and up in the product details but "from birth" in the description.
4. Montessori Talking Flashcards
Photo: Clever Toys Box
A handheld electronic reader that plays words and sounds when you insert one of 255 double-sided picture cards covering letters, numbers, animals, colors and everyday objects. It comes in blue or pink. Price on October 21, 2026: $39.97 (listed regular price $69.97), in stock, with 149 reviews on the store's page. Who it suits: toddlers who like pressing buttons and naming pictures, as a screen-free alternative to a tablet app. Drawback: the store lists the age as 1+ in one place and 2 to 6 in another, and the page does not say how the reader is powered or charged.
5. Montessori Afternoon Tea Set
Photo: Clever Toys Box
A wooden pretend-play tea set: a teapot with lid, two cups with saucers, two wooden spoons, a milk jug with a felt lemon slice, two wooden biscuits and a tray. It weighs about 17.6 oz and should be wiped, not soaked. Price on October 21, 2026: $39.97 (listed regular price $78.97), in stock, with 215 reviews on the store's page. Who it suits: toddlers who copy grown-ups and love hosting pretend parties. Drawback: the product details say ages 2+, while the description says 3 and up, so check the pieces against your child before giving it to a two-year-old.
6. Montessori Silicone Pulling Toy
Photo: Clever Toys Box
A one-piece silicone toy, about 4.9 by 4.9 by 7.1 inches, with colorful pieces on cords that a baby can pull out and watch snap back. The store lists it as BPA-free, phthalate-free, food-grade silicone for babies from 3 months, washed by hand. Price on October 21, 2026: $34.97 (listed regular price $49.97), in stock, with 89 reviews on the store's page. Who it suits: babies at the grabbing and pulling stage, and parents who want something that can be washed after it is chewed. Drawback: it is one of the pricier small toys here, and silicone picks up lint and dust.

What buyers say
- Independent reviews: we found no Trustpilot profile for clevertoysbox.com and no independent reviews in a web search on October 21, 2026. That does not mean the store is bad, but it means there is little outside evidence either way.
- Reviews on the store's own pages (counted October 21, 2026): Rattle Socks Set 415, Afternoon Tea Set 215, Baby Soft Book 163, Talking Flashcards 149, Musical Caterpillar 111, Silicone Pulling Toy 89. These are hosted and displayed by the store itself, so treat them as the seller's showcase rather than neutral feedback.
- Inconsistencies we noticed: the store's footer promises "risk-free returns, no questions asked", but its refund policy has conditions (see below). Age ranges also differ between the product details and the descriptions on three of the six products.
How it compares
- Big marketplaces such as Amazon: many similar Montessori-style toys, often with thousands of independent reviews and known delivery times. Better if you need a gift by a fixed date.
- Subscription play kits for babies: they send a box of stage-based toys every few months. They cost more overall but take the guesswork out of choosing by age.
- Clever Toys Box: a single store sorted by age, with sale prices and free shipping over $75. It suits buyers who like the look of these particular toys and can order early.
Shipping & returns
- Free shipping on orders over $75. On October 21, 2026 the store's shipping policy page was empty, so it does not state delivery times, where orders ship from, or the shipping fee below $75. The site has an order tracking page. If you are buying a holiday gift, order early.
- Returns: the refund policy gives you up to one year to return a toy, but it must be unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. You must email the store first (info@clevertoysbox.com) and wait for instructions; packages sent without a request are not accepted.
- You pay the return shipping, the store does not issue return labels, and the original shipping cost is not refunded. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Gift cards are not refundable.
- Broken or faulty items must be reported within 5 days of delivery. The store also lists a 1-year warranty on all toys.
Who it suits / who should skip
It suits parents and gift-givers who want soft, simple, screen-free toys picked by age, who can bundle a few items to reach free shipping, and who are not in a hurry.
Skip it if you need a gift delivered by a set date, if you want independent reviews before buying, or if you expect free and easy returns, since you pay return shipping and the toy must be unused.
Using the code
We do not have a Clever Toys Box coupon code of our own to share, and we did not test a code at checkout. On October 21, 2026 a banner on the store advertised an extra 15% off with a public code, and a pop-up offered a discount in exchange for an email address; we did not verify either. If we get a working code, it will appear on this page behind the "Get code" button.
