How we put this guide together
We haven't bought anything from Aurora Tears, so this isn't a hands-on review and we don't give it a star rating. Everything below comes from Aurora Tears' own site (auroratears.com): its product pages, About Us, Contact Us and FAQ pages, its shipping, refund and terms pages, and the store's public product list (1,222 listings, of which 1,208 were available). We also checked Trustpilot, the domain registration record and Google's Ads Transparency Center, and we tested the store's discount codes in the cart without placing an order. All of it was checked on September 30, 2026.
What Aurora Tears sells
Aurora Tears sells inexpensive fashion jewelry. On September 30, 2026, the store had 1,208 pieces available:
| Type | Listings |
|---|---|
| Necklaces | 559 |
| Earrings | 232 |
| Rings | 228 |
| Jewelry sets | 116 |
| Bracelets | 70 |
Its biggest themes are birthstone jewelry (858 pieces with "birthstone" in the name) and a butterfly collection (345 pieces). There are also cross earrings, Eye of Horus and ankh pendants, initial-letter necklaces, zodiac pieces and a Halloween collection. Every piece comes in a gift box, and product pages offer laser-engraved letters and custom changes on request.
What the "birthstones" are made of
Product pages list the metal as 925 sterling silver and the stones as "AAA+ Cubic Zirconia, Lab-Created". In plain terms, the "peridot", "garnet" or "topaz" is a colored cubic zirconia, a man-made stone, in that month's birthstone color, not the natural gemstone. That's normal at this price, but worth knowing if you're buying for someone who expects a real gemstone.
The store says its jewelry is nickel-, lead- and cadmium-free and "tarnish-free". We couldn't verify those claims; sterling silver in general can darken over time.
What it costs
Across the 1,208 pieces available on Sep 30, 2026 (lowest available price per piece):
- Lowest price: $16.99
- Middle price (median): $27.99
- Under $35: 1,011 pieces (84%)
- Highest price: $103.98 (jewelry sets)
Some examples from the day we checked:
| Piece | Price |
|---|---|
| Butterfly open ring, rainbow cubic zirconia, sterling silver | $23.99 |
| Upside-down cross dangle earrings, sterling silver | $23.99 |
| Birthstone heart pendant necklace (12 birthstone colors) | $26.99 |
| Birthstone long drop earrings (12 colors) | $26.99 |
| Ankh cross and Eye of Horus necklace | $29.99 |
| Round August peridot-color bracelet, sterling silver | $35.99 |
Almost every listing (1,051 of 1,208) shows a crossed-out "regular" price next to the current one, for example $26.99 next to $33.39 or $49.99. We couldn't check whether pieces ever sold at those higher prices, so judge each piece on its current price.
Discount codes we tested
The "Special Offer" box on every product page lists three codes. We tried each one in the cart on September 30, 2026:
- First order, 10% off: worked on a single $26.99 necklace (took $2.69 off).
- Buy 3 or more, 15% off: didn't apply to one item; with three items in the cart it took 15% off ($12.14 off $80.97).
- Orders over $200, 20% off: didn't apply to a $26.99 cart. We didn't build a $200 cart to test it.
If you're buying three or more pieces, the 15% code saves more than the first-order code. We didn't test whether two codes can be combined.
Is Aurora Tears legit? What we could and couldn't verify
What checks out:
- The store is active: 1,208 pieces were in stock, the cart and discount codes worked, and orders ship free.
- It lists who it is and where: an email address (service@auroratears.com, with a promised reply within 24 hours), a text-message number (+86 180-2348-3071) and a street address in Panyu District, Guangzhou, China. Its Trustpilot profile gives the same address.
- The auroratears.com domain was registered in July 2021, so the store has been online for about five years.
- It accepts PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and JCB.
What we couldn't verify:
- Independent reviews. Aurora Tears has claimed its Trustpilot page, but it had zero reviews when we checked. The reviews on its own site are positive (4.5 out of 5 from 20 reviews on the Eye of Horus necklace, 4.67 from 9 on the birthstone heart necklace), but the newest we saw were from 2022 and early 2023, and a few are short or appear to describe a different product.
- How long the brand has existed. The site footer says "© 2014 – 2025", but the domain dates from 2021. The brand may have sold elsewhere before; we found nothing independent confirming it.
- Where returns go. The return address is only sent once your return is approved.
None of that means something is wrong. It does mean you're relying on the store's own descriptions and photos. Paying with PayPal or a credit card gives you buyer protection if an order doesn't arrive or isn't as described.
Shipping, returns and payment
- Shipping: free on every order (except orders made up only of free gifts). Prices include tax, with nothing extra to pay on delivery. The store says orders are processed within 1 business day (its FAQ says 1–2) and usually arrive in 5–7 business days, shipped by USPS, FedEx, DHL or other international carriers "from the warehouse closest to the destination". A few US ZIP code areas (006–009, 967–969, 995–999) and APO/FPO military addresses aren't served.
- Returns: within 30 days of the order date (not the delivery date), unused, in original condition and packaging. Contact the store first; returns sent without approval aren't accepted. You pay return shipping unless the item is defective or wrong. Clearance items and gift cards can't be returned. Refunds are processed 2–3 business days after the store receives and checks the return.
- Defective, wrong or not as described: keep the item and packaging, send photos, and the store says it will send a replacement.
- Cancelling: unshipped orders can be cancelled for a full refund; shipped orders go through the return process.
Because the return window starts on the order date and delivery takes about a week, you effectively have around three weeks after the package arrives to decide.
How it compares with other ways to buy

Who it suits
Aurora Tears suits US shoppers looking for an inexpensive, personal-feeling gift, like a birthstone necklace in the right month's color or an initial pendant, who are happy with sterling silver and cubic zirconia rather than natural gemstones and can order at least a week or two before the date. It's a weaker fit if you want real gemstones, need an item urgently, or want a company with plenty of recent independent customer reviews.
