Veterans Day 2026 is Wednesday, November 11. It honors everyone who has served in the US armed forces. (Memorial Day, in May, honors those who died in service.)
Many offers made just for Veterans Day are announced in late October or early November, so it's too early to list them. What we can check now are the military discount programs that big stores describe on their own sites. We read each one on September 15, 2026. Terms change, so confirm on the store's page before you buy.

Nike
- 10% off most items on Nike.com, in the Nike App and in Nike stores. In a store, show your military ID at checkout. Nike Company Stores aren't included.
- Online, you verify through SheerID and receive a single-use code. Nike issues a new code every 7 days, and each code expires two weeks after it's issued.
- The discount covers the first $500 of a purchase.
- It doesn't apply to Nike By You custom products, gift cards, some launch and SNKRS releases, or Apple products.

Apple
- 10% off through Apple's Veterans and Military Purchase Program, for current and veteran members of the US Military, National Guard and Reserve. Apple's page also covers immediate family members living in the same household.
- You verify your status with ID.me.
- Apple Card Monthly Installments and Apple's upgrade program can't be used as payment on these orders.

Lowe's
- 10% off most full-priced items, in stores and on Lowes.com, every day of the year.
- Open to current and former members of the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force, NOAA, the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and the National Guard, plus their spouses.
- You verify once through ID.me, linked to a MyLowe's Rewards account. Lowe's asks for a photo ID at store checkout.
- The big catch: it can't be used on anything already on sale or combined with any other discount, and it doesn't cover services, major appliances, gift cards, or building materials such as lumber, plywood and electrical wire.

Samsung
- Up to 30% off through Samsung's Military Offer Program on Samsung.com.
- Active military sign up with a .mil email address; veterans and retirees verify with ID.me.
- Limits: two products per product category per calendar year, and the program can't be combined with Samsung's other offer programs.

Target
- Target's military discount is not an everyday discount. It appears in your Target Circle account only while a military appreciation campaign is running. In 2023, for example, Target offered 10% off, usable twice, from October 29 to November 11.
- Active service members, veterans and one dependent can take part. You verify in the Target app (Settings, then Military verification) or on Target.com, with a document such as a DD214, a discharge certificate or a VA letter. Target says the offer can take up to an hour to appear after you verify.
- We'll update this article if Target announces a 2026 Veterans Day offer.

Tips
- Verify before the day. Nike says most checks are instant but some take up to 20 minutes; Target allows up to an hour. Do it the week before, not at checkout on November 11.
- Military discounts rarely stack. Lowe's won't apply its discount to sale items, for one. Compare the military price with any public sale price and take the lower one.
- Use your legal name. Target lists nickname and typo mismatches as a common reason verification fails.

The Home Depot and Under Armour also advertise military discounts, but their terms pages wouldn't load for us on September 15, 2026, and we don't list details we couldn't check.
AvaCoup has no affiliate links with any store in this article, so we earn nothing if you use these discounts. Codes we have tested for Veterans Day will appear on AvaCoup Seasonal: Veterans Day.
